Today more than ever before, our world is facing unprecedented challenges. It is crucial that we as Jesus followers engage and respond to the issues with God’s truth, love, creativity and vision for both now and the future.
We aim to help you understand the world through a biblical lens and become multi-dimensional thinkers for a range of current issues in all spheres of society.
This APC seminar will focus on Conviction and Communication in the Age of AI.
We say we believe a lot of things. But our real beliefs are not the ones we recite, they are the ones we act on. Every choice we make, every response to a crisis, every quiet decision when no one is watching traces back to something we actually believe about God, ourselves, and the world.
Today, artificial intelligence can accumulate and recite more knowledge than any human ever could, the uniquely human work is no longer “knowing”. It is discerning what an idea actually leads to, owning what we claim to believe, and letting that conviction shape how we live, lead, and communicate. We call this implicational thinking: the practice of following a belief downstream to where it touches real decisions.
During the seminar you will learn about that human work, and about closing the gap between the faith we profess and the lives we lead.
Over four weeks together, you will not just learn a biblical worldview as a set of ideas. You will learn to think with it. We will work through the Story of God and the pressing issues of our time, always with the same question driving us: what does this actually change about how I choose, create, and respond?
The other half of this work is learning to communicate what you believe with clarity and creativity, across diverse mediums and to different audiences, so that your thinking actually reaches the people and places it was meant to.
This is not a seminar that helps you accumulate knowledge. Rather It is a seminar that equips and encourages you to apply. You will sharpen your thinking on current, real material, wrestle alongside others in honest discussion, and be challenged to take ownership of your convictions. This journey will be anchored in worship, prayer, and fellowship.

Together, we will learn why it is important as believers to engage with issues of the day and process in a way that represents who God is in each situation. In God’s word we find a framework for life and society which gives us wisdom and insight for the issues we face in our world today. As we engage with this, your insight will be broadened.

DEEP
You will learn about the Old Testament Template, 360 Thinking Model, Social Issues Analysis and Integration, Learning to be Learners, and an optional final project that could earn you 2 credits.
Together we dig deeply into current issues and explore complexities from multiple perspectives. Laying aside our personal perspectives and assumptions, we allow ourselves to fully explore the issue at hand.
LIVING WITH
TENSION
In many situations decisions are driven by an ability or lack of, to deal with the pain in this world. Learning how to live with tension in a broken world and find a healthy way to navigate forward and thrive in the midst of pain is one of the key areas in which you will be stretched during this weekend.
