As we journey through life, it presents us opportunities to pause and engage with crucial questions like Who am I?
Why am I here? What has God given me and what am I supposed to do with it?
Our upcoming Discipleship Training School is a six months experience that will help you wrestle with these questions and grow your understanding of your unique tapestry of identity and how you can join into God's redemptive work. We will do a deep dive into HiStory of love and redemption, Y(Our) Story of forgiveness and restoration, and the Potential stories of the future of hope, creativity, beauty and abundance. ​
This DTS will zoom into Jesus's life around the table and explore the themes of hospitality, generosity and community. The core of Life Around the Table DTS is about learning how Jesus lived and how we can embody that lifestyle in all areas of our lives today.
During this time, you will engage in a journey of discovery, restoration, healing, creativity and growth.
Through shared meals, creative workshops, and teaching,
you will learn how to cultivate a genuine and growing relationship with the Lord, co-create with Him and
nurture a lifestyle of hospitality, beauty, and generosity.

Whether you are longing for a chance to deepen your relationship with the Lord or wondering about your place in HiStory and how to be salt and light in our often dim world, this experience will provide a space for you to discover new depths and possibilities in your relationship with the Lord and His calling for your life.

LECTURE PHASE
INSPIRING
TEACHING
One of YWAMs core values is that we DO before we TEACH. For this reason all of our experienced teachers are sharing wisdom not from their head knowledge but from their heart, having wrestled with the Lord in this specific area of expertise. You will study different topics such as: Hearing the Voice of God, Principles of Intercession and Spiritual Warfare, Communicating Cross Culturally and Your Identity in Christ.
CHARACTER
GROWTH
Your character plays a vital role in your overall calling and life. Throughout your DTS you will be encouraged to pay careful attention to your growth, challenging yourself to practice and apply what you learn both inside and outside the classroom.
SMALL GROUP
PROCESS
Collaboration with God and one another is highly emphasized on this course. So throughout your time you will embark on a journey of discovery with others who share both your faith and also similar questions. Sharing and praying together as you go through this course will deepen your faith and encourage others in their walk with the Lord.
PRACTICE &
CREATIVITY
Through curated workshops and other activities you will have ample time to practice and explore what applying all that you are learning could look like. Learn how to love and serve God and you neighbour.
WORSHIP &
PRAYER
Worship and prayer are integral aspects of our daily lives. Engaging in these allows us to grow a deeper passion for God and seek revelation of his heart and purposes for the world. It is a place to get nourishment, encouragement and inspiration as we connect and join in his redemptive work. We also find the courage to change and be transformed as his disciples
FUN
FELLOWSHIP
Joining with a DTS and becoming part of a learning community opens the doors to new and deep friendships. As you pursue God with all your heart, in the company of others there will be many moments of fun and laughter on the journey. Enjoy each moment and build memories that will last a lifetime.
OUTREACH PHASE
TRAVEL
TOGETHER
Travel to an outreach location where culture and language are not the only things which are foreign to you. Explore the beauty of a new nation while living and working with your team in a cross cultural setting.
SHARE
YOUR FAITH
Whether you are teaching in a church, sharing in a youth group, working in a community development project or serving in a soup kitchen. Outreach gives you the opportunity to share your faith with others. Sharing your faith journey with others allows God to open their hearts to Him.
PROCESS THE POTENTIAL
During your DTS you will have been faced with many new experiences and it's important to take time to process and consider all that you have learned. Your debrief time is an important aspect of the school as you consider going back to school, re-insertion into the workplace or whether you are considering a longer term in cross cultural mission.
