All around the world there is great need for redemption, healing and development for communities, families and individuals. Despite technological advancement in the medical field we see in the western world, there is a gap between its application in "high tech" and "low tech" environments. For most people the transition from a "high tech" to a "low tech" environment can be challenging to bridge. Although they may have received training and can practice within a western setting, it is hard to imagine the jump needed to work in cross-cultural missions.
Medical Missions Equip Seminar is a three week seminar made up of health care professionals who will help prepare you make this transition. During the seminar you will learn how your current skills and approach could apply in a completely different environment.
This seminar will teach you to approach healthcare in a holistic way, body, mind, and spirit, how to apply God’s solutions and serve in ways that meet the individual, family, community, and the nation's health. As a medical worker who is a Christian you will learn how to combine your skills and faith to inspire holistic healing.
After this seminar you will be equipped to engage in Medical Missions in the majority world, particularly focused on the continent of Africa.

INSPIRING
TEACHING
You will receive hands-on teaching from experienced healthcare workers who have many years of experience on the continent of Africa. Topics include: Biblical Worldview, Holistic Healing, Working Cross Culturally, Serving: Individuals, Families and Communities, Bringing God’s Heart to Nations and more.
CHARACTER
GROWTH
Your character plays a vital role in your overall calling and life. You will be encouraged to pay careful attention to your character building and growth, challenging yourself to practice what it means to love God with your heart, soul and mind, and your neighbour as yourself.
GROUP
PROCESS
Learning from classroom teachers is part of the process, but learning from each other and understanding God’s heart for the lost is a process you will contribute towards. You will learn how to interact with others and build healthy, dynamic relationships within any team.
SKILL
PRACTICE
Your skills are essential on the mission field, but how to apply those skills in a low tech setting is a challenge. With less equipment available, you will learn to use what you know in order to bring hope and healing to communities.
WORSHIP &
PRAYER
Worship and prayer are integral aspects of our daily life here within our training centre but they are also essential aspects of spiritual warfare once you get to the mission field. Engaging in these allows us to grow a deeper passion for God and seek revelation of God's heart and purposes for the world. It is a place to get nourishment, encouragement and understanding of His heart.
FUN
FELLOWSHIP
You will be part of a relationship-oriented and multi-cultural community, this means meeting new people from around the world and forming relationships and friends that can be key resources for you in the future.
OPTIONAL OUTREACH OPPORTUNITY
EXPERIENCE IN A NEW
ENVIRONMENT
Choose to travel to an outreach location where culture and language are not the only things which are foreign to you. Explore the beauty of a new nation while living and working with your team. You are not doing this alone, we are doing this together.
BRIDGE THE
GAP
Take that first step where you can apply your skills in a low tech environment within missions. Join an established program where you will become part of the medical team serving those in need. Together with your team begin to understand what it means to work from a biblical worldview in another culture.
PROCESS
POTENTIAL
Whether you are considering short term or long term, your contribution into missions can have a huge impact on those in need. Evaluating and positioning for your next step after this first exploration is an important part of your process.
